What is a Barium Chromate?

Barium chromate (BaCrO₄) is an inorganic compound appearing as a yellow crystalline powder. It is a type of chromate with high toxicity and must be handled with care. Common uses include applications as an oxidizing agent, pigment, corrosion inhibitor, and in pyrotechnics.
